Virtual Patients Group - Improving
communication skills education using virtual patients.

|
Overview The Virtual Patients Group is
comprised of over 32 researchers, including computer scientists, medical
doctors, pharmacists, psychologists, and educators. The Virtual Patients Group is developing
experiences with virtual humans to provide healthcare students,
professionals, and the general public with communication skills
education. We are integrating these
experiences into medical school curricula and public health exhibits. To date, over 500 health care students have
interacted with our immersive virtual patients, 1000 with our online virtual
patients, and hundreds with our public exhibits. We are interested in expanding our
consortium. Please contact us for more
information. |
